Job description
We are looking for a Messaging Platform Engineer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kafka event streaming clusters to support real-time data flows.
- Operate and support AMQ Enterprise Messaging infrastructure for reliable message delivery.
- Manage API Management platforms to enable secure, governed API-driven integrations.
- Ensure 24x7 availability and performance of messaging and event infrastructure.
- Monitor message flows, queues, and topics, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Support application teams in designing event-driven and API integration patterns.
- Implement security, access control, and governance for messaging and API platforms.
- Respond to and resolve incidents affecting messaging services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and enterprise messaging systems (e.g., IBM MQ / AMQ).
- Experience with API Management platforms and API gateway concepts.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and integration patterns.
- Experience monitoring and tuning message throughput and latency.
- Scripting/automation skills for operational tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills within a 24x7 operational environment.
