Akicita Federal is hiring MRI Technologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services for Veterans receiving care through the VA New Jersey Health Care System in Toms River, NJ. In this role, you will be a critical part of a multidisciplinary care team, ensuring Veterans receive accurate and timely MRI imaging that directly supports their diagnosis and treatment.   • Perform MRI examinations on Veterans patients in accordance with established clinical protocols and physician orders
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process to ensure comfort, safety, and cooperation throughout the scan
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic-quality images, adjusting technical parameters as needed to optimize image quality
  • Screen patients and staff for MRI safety contraindications, maintaining a safe magnetic environment at all times
  • Document all imaging procedures accurately in the electronic health record, including patient history, scan parameters, and any relevant clinical observations
  • Coordinate with radiologists and referring providers to communicate imaging findings, flag urgent results, and support continuity of care
