Rune Technologies· Rosslyn, VA· $75k–$95k·
Role details
Job description
About Rune
Rune Technologies builds mission-critical software for military logistics and sustainment. Our flagship product is TyrOS, an AI-enabled logistics command and control platform that gives commanders a single, real-time operating picture of their sustainment fight, from inventory and distribution to medical and operational planning, even in degraded and contested environments.
We're not a traditional defense contractor. We're a small, fast-moving team that combines deep operational experience in and with the DoD with the software discipline of the best product companies, and we apply that combination to a customer set that desperately needs it. We stay close to our users by embedding directly with military units during exercises and rotations, and we ship constantly based on what we learn.
The U.S. military and its allies face a real logistics modernization problem. We're building the software to solve it.
About The Role
As Office Manager, you will own the day-to-day operations of Rune's office and serve as a key partner to employees, leadership, and external vendors. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating order out of ambiguity, solving problems before they become problems, and making the workplace feel organized, welcoming, and high-functioning.
You will have significant ownership over office operations, employee experience, events, vendors, supplies, and administrative processes. As Rune grows, this role will have the opportunity to expand into broader workplace and people operations responsibilities.

Administrative & Operational Support
- Manage recurring office expenses and vendor relationships.
- Track budgets and invoices related to office operations.
- Maintain organized records, contracts, and vendor information.
- Support leadership with administrative and operational projects as needed.
- Help develop scalable processes and systems as Rune continues to grow.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner closely with People, Recruiting, Finance, IT, and company leadership.
- Support recruiting and interviewing logistics, including candidate visits and onsite coordination.
- Assist with new-hire preparation and employee transitions.
- Jump into ambiguous operational projects where additional ownership is needed.
Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, administrative operations, hospitality, executive support, or a similar role.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
