Job description

About Anvil

Anvil is the SEO platform for the LLM era. As search shifts from Google to tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, we help brands stay visible and drive leads in AI-native search. We’re a seed-stage startup based in NYC, backed by top investors and moving fast.

We’re hiring a Marketing Intern to help drive our growth across SEO, organic content, and social media. You'll work directly with the founders on content strategy, keyword research, positioning experiments, and distribution. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn fast and see your work directly influence user growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Research and identify high-potential keywords and LLM prompts
  • Help publish and optimize blog content and landing pages
  • Track how we show up across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google
  • Draft and schedule social media posts
  • Analyze performance and help refine our messaging and positioning

What We’re Looking For

  • Must have prior internship at a startup
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of LLMs and engineering concepts
  • Interest in SEO, growth marketing, or AI
  • Experience with tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, etc.

What You’ll Get

  • Mentorship from ex-Google founders with deep product and growth experience
  • A front-row seat to how marketing shifts in the AI era
  • Real ownership and impact in a fast-moving startup
  • Exposure to both technical and go-to-market teams

Logistic

  • Pay range is $30 - $40 an hour
  • Must be in New York City
  • Dates are mid June to end of August, flexible.
  • Hybrid, 3 days a week on-site

Why work at joinanvil.com

  • Culture & trajectory: Seed-stage startup with high ownership – early hires have major influence on engineering culture, product direction, and narrative.
  • Work policy: Hybrid (New York, NY); allows 3 weeks remote per year.
  • Benefits: Health/dental/vision insurance, international company offsite, mentorship from ex-Google founders.
  • Engineering environment: Focus on Java, TypeScript, Spring Boot, data pipelines (Airflow, Kafka, Redis). High expectations for shipping fast and iterating.
  • Ideal for: Engineers who want backend-heavy work, are comfortable with 1–2 years of Big Tech/Series B+ experience, and want to be at the frontier of AI and search.
