What you’ll be doing:
As an Orchard Foreman, you’ll pay an important role in producing premium apples while leading and motivating a high-performing team. You’ll be hands-on in daily operations, working closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate daily orchard operations to maximise efficiency and quality outcomes
- Implement orchard husbandry programmes as directed by the Orchard Manager
- Ensure all orchard activities comply with relevant legislation
- Supervise, motivate, and develop orchard staff, fostering a high-performing team culture
- Champion a strong health and safety culture in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor orchard performance and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in large-scale horticulture and orchard operations
- Confident in coaching and supervising team members
- Strong knowledge of orchard technologies and systems
- Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
- Familiarity with machine operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of pest control, disease management, and chemical use
