Job description

About Venn

Venn is the fastest-growing B2B fintech in Canada. We're on a mission to transform business banking for Canadian entrepreneurs and are looking to hire A-players interested in disrupting traditional banking practices. As the ONLY digital banking platform in Canada offering a truly modern solution, we have seen accelerated growth, scaling to support more than 15,000 Canadian businesses in under two years. Business owners are tired of the big banks' monopoly and are looking for modern tools that replace the legacy systems that have been their only option for over 100 years. We've raised over US$26.5M in total funding from Tier 1 investors such as Gradient, Left Lane Capital, Intact Ventures, and XYZ Venture Capital. Interested in redefining the future of banking in Canada? Look no further.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own organic acquisition strategy to grow traffic and signups from search, AI answer engines, and community channels.
  • Plan, write, and optimize SEO/AEO content across Venn's product areas, and keep existing pages fresh and ranking.
  • Own AEO software (Airops) workflows for content creation, refresh, and optimization.
  • Grow Venn's visibility in AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) through content structure, schema, and third-party mentions.
  • Run website and landing page tests to improve conversion from organic traffic to signups.
  • Own organic community and video channels, including Venn's subreddit and YouTube.
  • Build on an existing organic engine with documented playbooks, attribution, and reporting already in place.
  • Collaborate with product marketing, design, and growth teams to ensure new launches get organic coverage from day one.
  • Use data and experimentation to iterate on content and site changes, reporting learnings and insights that inform strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or organic growth roles (B2B SaaS or fintech preferred).
  • Strong track record growing organic traffic and signups, not just rankings.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to make complex financial topics clear and useful.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO/AEO tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, Airops/Profound, and GA4.
  • Strong curiosity about AI search and how it's changing the way businesses discover products.
  • Comfort using dashboards and data to make decisions and drive the strategy forward for the growth team.
  • Experience with YouTube and you are comfortable putting your face in front of the camera.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with product marketing, design, and growth teams.

Bonus Points

  • Experience at an early-stage or fast-growing startup.
  • Experience in fintech or financial services marketing.
  • Experience growing Reddit, YouTube, or other community-led channels.
  • Experience from a non-traditional background (Eg. journalism or content agency).

Perks & Benefits

  • Healthy equity ownership.
  • Comprehensive coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of business banking in Canada and beyond.

Venn is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, or disability.
