Part Time Senior Companion (Dementia Experience Required) – Buffalo, NY
A welcoming family in Buffalo, NY 14221 is seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver to provide part-time companion care and non-medical support for an older adult with dementia.
Schedule
- Total Hours: 6 hours per week
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Shift Length: 3 hours per day (flexible options for 12:00 PM–3:00 PM or 4:00 PM–7:00 PM)
Home Environment
5+ cats in the home
Responsibilities
- Provide engaging companion care aligned with the care recipient's interests (reading, cooking, and pets)
- Manage medication reminders
- Prepare meals and assist with grocery shopping and local errands
- Provide light housekeeping and assist with home cleanliness and organization
Requirements
- 1 year or more of senior caregiving experience
- Demonstrated experience managing dementia care
- Demonstrated experience with home organization and cleanliness management
- Pet-friendly and comfortable working around multiple cats
- Reliable transportation for running errands and grocery shopping
Compensation
- $18-$20 per hour (commensurate with experience)
