ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Partner Success Manager to join the Xsolla Partner Network (XPN) Business Development team, based in China. This is a newly created, hybrid role sitting within the core XPN BD team — roughly 80% campaign and partner success, 20% business development support — created to close a gap in how XPN partners are supported once a deal closes: campaigns are launched, but no one consistently owns their ongoing success. The best candidate will be someone comfortable owning outcomes rather than just relationships — proactively strategizing with partners, coordinating across internal teams to get campaigns right, and stepping in to help close deals when local presence and trust matter more than a remote pitch. Full ownership of the sales process (sourcing, pitching, commercial negotiation) sits with the Core China/APAC Team; this role isn't required to run a deal end-to-end, but is expected to help get opportunities over the line and make sure they deliver once signed. If you're excited about building a new function from the ground up, becoming a product expert partners and internal teams rely on, and working across both Chinese and global creator platforms as publishers look to expand their reach, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end success of assigned partner campaigns post-signature — from kickoff through launch, live optimization, and post-campaign review.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners in China/APAC, building trusted, ongoing relationships rather than transactional check-ins.
  • Proactively strategize with partners on campaign structure, creator selection, storefront setup, and quest mechanics to maximize outcomes.
  • Identify risk signals early (underperformance, partner disengagement, unclear expectations) and drive corrective action before they become churn risks.
  • Coordinate directly with the XPN BD Team and Creator Success Team, pulling in the right internal resources at the right time.
  • Provide partners with clear, honest performance visibility — translating XPN data into terms that make sense for flat-fee and hybrid-model publishers.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for partner needs, feeding structured feedback back into XPN product, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Sit within the core XPN BD team and support the Core China/APAC Team in progressing late-stage opportunities — joining calls, providing local market context, and helping translate commercial terms into what will land with the partner.
  • Help identify expansion or upsell opportunities within existing successful partner relationships and flag them to the Core China/APAC Team.
  • Represent XPN at regional industry events across China and APAC, both to support active deals and to build XPN's local market presence.
  • Develop and maintain deep, current expertise in the XPN product to the point of being the go-to expert for partners and internal teams alike.
  • Work fluently across internal stakeholders (BD, Creator Success, Marketing, Data/Reporting) and external stakeholders (publisher teams, creator/MCN partners).
  • Game industry experience required based out of the China office (Beijing or Shanghai), in accordance with local in-office attendance requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years in a customer success, account management, or partner management role — ideally in gaming, platform, adtech, or creator economy environments.
  • Fluent Mandarin and professional English.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external partner relationships with a strategic, consultative approach — not purely reactive support.
  • Working knowledge of both the Chinese domestic platform landscape (Bilibili, Douyin, DouYu, Huya) and major global/international platforms (YouTube, Twitch, TikTok) — publishers are increasingly looking to expand reach beyond China, and this role needs to speak credibly to both sides of that expansion.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally across time zones with global teams, translating between local market realities and global program structures.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally for events and partner meetings across China and APAC.
  • Self-starter comfortable defining process in a role without an established playbook — this is a new function within XPN.

Nice to have

Prior direct or adjacent BD/sales exposure — this role will occasionally carry commercial conversations, though it is not a quota-carrying sales position. Familiarity with additional regional platforms (e.g. Chzzk/SOOP in Korea, Niconico in Japan) for publishers expanding into wider APAC. Experience working with flat-fee or hybrid commercial models and the reporting expectations that come with them.
