Your Role at Orb: Orb is building software-hardware-integrated air platforms. This position will lay out the electrical engineering architecture with considerations for mechanical, aero, and software engineering requirements.

  • PCB Design and Integration powerhouse.

  • Manage Electro Magnetic Interference.
  • Uncderstanding Mechanical Integration.
  • Materials Sourcing and Supply Chain Awareness.
  • Hardware Testing.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical products and embedded microcontroller, including Interrupts, Timers, DMAs, and communication interfaces (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet).
  • Strong Understanding of RF, Electro Magnetic Interference and Back EMF
  • Lithium Battery Management Systems
  • Speed Controllers and Brushless DC Motors
  • Sensor Interfacing and Sensor Fusion
  • Wireless Communication
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and using test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters) to troubleshoot electrical and firmware issues independently.
  • Understanding and applying EMI, EMF, Back EMF, and SWaP concepts to accomplish goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple critical projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to take on additional duties as required.
