Job description

About us

We’re proud to be Great Place to Work-Certified™️2025 for 2 years running. We've also won the 2026 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award globally, for the third year running!

We’re growing, not slowing, here at Macquarie Technology Group because we’re passionate about doing things differently. We want to challenge the industry and look for better ways of doing things. As a team, Macquarie Services are hardworking, results and success-focused. We also take the time to celebrate our success and make sure our people are doing work that makes a difference.

We believe that collaboration & team connection is key for success. This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement in our CBD offices & the remaining working from home. #LI-Hybrid

The Opportunity At Macquarie Technology Group, we're not your typical technology company. We're Australia's data centre, cloud, cyber security and telecom provider for mid-market and enterprise customers, and we're growing. We're looking for a Product Delivery Lead — a hands-on Applications Product Owner and technical Business Analyst to join one of our IT Delivery squads. You will own a portfolio of internal applications spanning custom .NET solutions, SaaS platforms and modern microservices, working side by side in a squad with a small team of software engineers to design, prioritise and ship solutions that deliver measurable value to the business. AI is central to how we work, you'll use tools like Claude and Copilot every day to accelerate analysis, prototype solutions and automate the repetitive parts of delivery. You'll help identify where AI and automation can improve both customer and employee experiences across your product portfolio. This is a hands-on role where you'll influence strategic outcomes, drive continuous improvement, shape roadmaps and deliver innovative solutions across your portfolio and the Group.

About You.

- A hands-on analyst at heart — happiest in the detail of requirements, processes and data, not managing delivery from a distance.

- A product thinker who cares about why something is being built and the value it creates, not just when it ships.

- Already using AI tools in your day-to-day work, and genuinely curious about how far they can go.

- Comfortable in technical conversations with software engineers about APIs, integrations, data and solution options.

- A natural problem solver who enjoys turning complex challenges into practical solutions.

- An effective communicator who can simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences and influence decisions across business and technology teams.

- Highly organised, self-driven and adaptable, with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.

- Committed to continuous improvement and to raising the bar for the team around you.

Required Skills.

- 5+ years' recent, hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.

- Demonstrated Product Ownership experience: owning and prioritising a product backlog, shaping roadmaps and making value-based trade-off decisions within Agile delivery environments.

- Practical, current use of AI tools such as Claude, Copilot or similar.

- Experience working directly with software engineering teams throughout the SDLC, from concept through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

- Technical fluency across custom software solutions, SaaS applications, APIs and modern technology platforms.

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence outcomes across all levels of an organisation.

- Experience balancing strategic initiatives with operational and BAU responsibilities across a product portfolio.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
