Product Designer (Parental Leave Replacement) at Descope (Tel Aviv)
Descope· Tel Aviv·
Job description
Descope is a developer-first identity provider for customers, partners, and AI agents. Our drag & drop approach to identity enables developers to easily deploy authentication, MFA, SSO, and MCP / AI agent auth without writing custom code. Descope is trusted by over 1000 organizations in production including GoFundMe, Databricks, GoodRx, Linktree, and You.com. The company has $88M in seed funding led by Lightspeed and Notable Capital.
We're "descoping" authentication plumbing from developers' daily lives while helping organizations turn identity into a business enabler. Come join us!
The Role:
We are looking for a Product Designer to join our team as a parental leave replacement for a period of 8 months.
As a Product Designer, you will design end-to-end user interfaces for our SaaS platform's web application and work in close collaboration with product managers and R&D to make high-level strategic decisions and designs. In your day to day work you will map possible scenarios and create product flows, prototypes and designs, focusing on holistic user journeys.
You’ll be working in a startup environment, which means high context-switching and effort, along with great and quick satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in end-to-end (UX/UI) product design, preferably within SaaS or developer-centric environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, communicate efficiently and share ideas early on in the process.
- Strategic design thinking with a deep understanding of the product lifecycle- from research and rapid prototyping to high-fidelity design and usability testing.
- Strong fundamentals in visual design, including typography, color, layout, composition and attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience working with AI tools to enhance design workflows; experience with Claude is a plus.
- Proficiency with Figma.
- Being up-to-date with industry trends and best practices such as UI trends, UX conventions, techniques and technologies. This requires you to be open-minded and a constant learner.
- A high level of written and spoken English.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication.
- Experience as a developer, or in designing developer-oriented SaaS products.
- Experience with Adobe Suite and other design tools.
- Experience creating and building a design system library.
