LRK is seeking a Project Accountant to join our team in Memphis, TN. Project Accountants work closely with Architectural, Interior Design and Planning Project Managers and Principals to ensure accurate and consistent accounting and billing at the project level.
Responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain respectful relationships with the project team
- Partner with the Project Manager throughout the project life cycle
- Set up new projects in the accounting system
- Prepare percentage-of completion revenue recognition and monthly billing/invoicing
- Process accounts payable related to consultant and vendor invoices relevant to projects
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and manage collections communication with clients
- Serve as a liaison between design-minded creative staff and the financial management side of the firm
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a professional services environment
- Ability to be a self-starter, team player, highly organized, detail oriented and have a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment are a must
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred
- Prior experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision desired
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
