Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and effective Public Affairs Officer to support the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) Business Management Support Services contract. The Public Affairs Officer (PAO) will lead communications, outreach, and digital media efforts for ASBP, ensuring clear, compliant, and impactful messaging to internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop messaging and materials for blood donation campaigns.
  • Lead creation of the ASBP annual report, newsletters, graphics, and videos.
  • Manage ASBP website and social media content and performance tracking.
  • Draft press releases and respond to media inquiries in coordination with ASBP HQ.
  • Provide PAO support for blood drives and ASBP events.
  • Ensure all communications comply with DoD branding and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public affairs, or related field.
  • 3+ years of public affairs, communications, or digital media experience.
  • Experience supporting Federal or DoD organizations preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
