T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. The Role
T1 Energy is looking to hire a Quality Specialist who is responsible for supporting and maintaining high product and process quality across T1 Energy’s solar module manufacturing operations. This role ensures compliance with quality standards, performs inspections throughout the production cycle, and plays an active role in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. The ideal candidate brings hands-on manufacturing experience, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to quality control in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-process inspections to verify compliance with quality standards during solar module production.
- Inspect incoming raw materials, outsourced components, and finished goods to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection standards, control plans, work instructions, and FMEA.
- Track non-conformances and lead root cause investigations; support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Contribute to the development of quality standards for new product introductions.
- Analyze customer feedback and product quality complaints; recommend corrective actions and drive improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to maintain a strong quality culture.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain alignment with ISO and industry-specific quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external training programs as needed, which may include international travel for onboarding or technical instruction.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or control within a manufacturing environment (preferably solar, electronics, or semiconductor)
- Strong understanding of quality tools and processes (e.g., CAPA, FMEA, control plans, inspection standards)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
