Job description

About Renegade

We're building the first dark pool built natively for onchain markets.

Renegade is an onchain dark pool, a private exchange for institutional crypto trading, fully onchain with no trusted intermediaries. In TradFi, dark pools account for roughly 40% of US equities volume. That entire layer of market structure barely exists in crypto.

Renegade brings that infrastructure to DeFi. We match orders at the midpoint of the Binance bid-ask spread, without moving the market, without leaking information, and without leaving the chain. Funds, solvers, and market makers that integrate with Renegade get better price execution, with savings on spreads, market impact, and fees.

Since launch on Arbitrum and Base, Renegade has processed $336M in all-time trading volume with $100M in daily order flow.

We've been live since late 2024, are well-funded by leading investors. We are a lean high-caliber team that works in person in San Francisco.

About The Role

We're looking for one extremely organized operator to aggressively push our sales and GTM pipelines.

On a team this small, you’ll have real ownership and a wide surface area. Example projects:

— Own a sales pipeline end-to-end: tracking, follow-ups, next steps, closing loops — Write and iterate on customer-facing docs: onboarding notes, one-pagers, explainers — Ship comms: twitter threads, product updates, announcements — Handle misc operator tasks: contracts, vendors, coordination

You can shape the role: if you want to go deeper on GTM systems (process, messaging, outbound lists), great. If you want to be more chief-of-staff (running execution across many threads), also great. But the core is the same: aggressive follow-through and relentless organization.

About You

You are unusually organized, relentless about follow-ups, and comfortable operating in the founder’s inbox.

You want to work hand-in-hand with the founder at a very early-stage company. You don’t need permission to push things forward. You don’t feel awkward being persistent.

— You’ve run pipeline in a high-velocity environment — You write clearly and quickly and keep clean notes — You move fast, stay calm, and don’t drop balls

If this fits, we look forward to chatting!

Why work at Renegade

  • High ownership, small team: A "lean high-caliber team" of ~5–7 people where engineers have strong ownership of core systems and a wide surface area for impact. (jobs.lever.co)
  • Hard systems problems: Work spans trading infrastructure, ZK provers, distributed systems (Raft/consensus edge cases), and performance-sensitive Rust — with real responsibility over 7-figure onchain funds.
  • In-person culture: Fully on-site in San Francisco, emphasizing close collaboration.
  • Shape your own role: Engineers can lean customer-facing or go heads-down on performance/reliability optimization.
  • Well-funded with backing from top investors: Backed by Dragonfly and Naval Ravikant, with institutional-grade counterparties (basis traders, funds, solvers) already on the platform.
  • Team pedigree: Prior experience includes Tesla, ENS Labs, Argus Labs, Verkada, and Patra Corporation. (linkedin.com)
