RevOps Engineer at Emergence Software (Egypt)
Emergence Software· Egypt·
Role details
Job description
RevOps Engineer | Emergence Remote, Opento Europe & APAC | Full-time | GTM Center of Excellence
Emergence is a US-based, Pritzker-backed private equity firm that acquires and scales B2B software companies. We build shared capabilities, like GTM, that make every portfolio company faster.
THE ROLE
Own the GTM systems across our portfolio. Each acquired company brings its own CRM, data, and sales process; you turn it into a connected, automated stack, then package it so the next company onboards faster. Ops first, outbound second. A GTM expert guides architecture and reviews each step. Scope expands to other verticals (sourcing, talent, etc.).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Get data access from companies; ingest, clean, dedupe, load, and route it into a CRM in Emergence's name; configure fields, pipelines, permissions, suppression
- Connect CRMs, Slack, notes tools, and calendars via APIs, webhooks, OAuth, MCPs, cron jobs, and VMs; own auth, rate limits, app registrations, sync fixes
- Map every process in Figma (or similar) before building and keep it current; document each build as a playbook
WHAT YOU BRING
- 5+ years in RevOps or GTM engineering; deep Salesforce or HubSpot, quick to ramp on others
- Daily building with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar, plus Python and SQL to fix its code
- GitHub hygiene: small commits, branches, worktrees, PRs, in-repo docs
- Per-company permissions and self-running automations
- Careful and safe: least privilege, secrets in a vault, never pasted in chat, per-company data separation, dry runs, approvals before irreversible steps, idempotent jobs
- Organized: tasks in one place, notes captured, short log
NICE TO HAVE
- Outbound and GTM/revenue roles: sequences, SDR/AE needs, do-not-call lists, ICP rules
- More than one CRM administered; same systems rolled out across companies
- Contact enrichment, data sourcing, AI agents
WHAT WE OFFER
Competitive USD pay (fixed + variable) and ownership of GTM systems across a growing portfolio.
Why work at Emergence Software
- Culture highlights: Small, boutique firm (27 employees) with a collaborative, long-term mindset. Emphasis on building enduring businesses rather than chasing quick returns.
- Remote / hybrid policy: Not publicly specified; headquarters in Palo Alto suggests an in-office expectation, but flexibility may be offered.
- Notable perks or engineering culture: As a PE firm, roles are likely in investment, operations, and finance rather than pure engineering. Perks typical of a family office environment (e.g., competitive compensation, direct exposure to deal-making, mentorship from Pritzker network).
- For job seekers: A chance to work closely with a small team on high-impact investments, with direct access to the resources of a major family office. Ideal for candidates passionate about B2B software and long-term value investing.
