Job description
About Aleph
Aleph is an AI-native platform for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), an established software category with a multi-billion market but no clear winner. We’re trying to solve a problem many finance teams are super familiar with: data scattered across a million systems, endless spreadsheets and way too much time spent getting numbers to line up instead of actually using them to make decisions. Aleph was founded by Albert Gozzi and Santiago Perez De Rosso, two technical founders with backgrounds from Stanford and MIT and experience working at top-tier companies such as Google, Microsoft and Bain & Company. We’re backed by top VCs (Khosla Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, YC, Picus Capital), and work with customers like Webflow, Notion, Zapier, Y Combinator and many others. We are hiring remotely across the Americas (United States, Canada, LATAM).
🔍 What we’re looking for As one of the early members of our Sales Development team, you'll own the front door of the funnel: responding to inbound interest quickly, turning hand-raisers into real conversations, and handing Account Executives qualified pipeline they can close. This is a pure inbound, first-responder role. You’re not cold prospecting from a list or waiting to be handed a queue. You’re converting the demand marketing creates into pipeline, making sure no high-intent lead falls through the cracks. You’ll work every hand-raiser, content download, and stalled opportunity with speed and thoughtful personalization. High-performing SDRs at Aleph have a clearly defined path, and we invest heavily in coaching and development to help you get there.
👷 What you’ll be doing
- Respond quickly to prospects who requested a demo or trial but never booked, using phone and personalized email to convert interest into meetings
- Turn content engagement, including webinars, downloads, and events, into qualified sales conversations across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Prioritize inbound leads based on intent and fit, so time goes to the opportunities most likely to convert
- Re-engage no-shows and stalled opportunities, and act on leads that are sitting untouched or past SLA before they go cold
- Use qualified inbound interest as a way into the broader account, identifying and reaching additional stakeholders in the buying committee
- Qualify rigorously against our ideal customer criteria so every meeting you hand to an AE is a real opportunity
- Partner closely with AEs and marketing, and share what you’re learning from prospects to improve messaging and routing
📝 What you have
- 1–2 years of SDR or BDR experience, ideally in SaaS and preferably in an inbound motion
- A strong sense of urgency, solid judgment, and a hunter’s mindset. You know how to prioritize signals, move quickly on high-intent leads, and work an account beyond the initial hand-raiser
- Strong written and verbal communication, plus the ability to personalize outreach in a way that feels relevant, concise, and human
- Diligence, attention to detail, and comfort working in data and systems. You stay organized, follow through, and use context to guide your outreach
- High learning agility, a growth mindset, and a collaborative, low-ego approach. You ramp quickly, take feedback well, and want to grow with a fast-moving startup
- Proven examples of using AI to work smarter, plus proficiency with a CRM and sales engagement tools.
- Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience in HubSpot
- Background in finance or marketing
