Our high-performance radars work in all weather and are designed for autonomous vehicles, uncrewed aircraft & drones, and security of borders, critical infrastructure, and smart cities. The company combines the patented technology of metamaterials with powerful software to create a radar sensor with unprecedented performance at commercial price points. Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Echodyne is seeking a Security Architect to join our fast-growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and facilitate threat modeling activities for products, systems, and key technical initiatives.
  • Run secure design reviews and partner with engineering teams to identify and reduce security risk early in the development lifecycle.
  • Provide practical security architecture guidance for new features, services, and infrastructure changes.
  • Document risks, recommended mitigations, and security decisions from design and review sessions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and platform teams to improve secure-by-design practices across the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading threat modeling and secure design discussions.
  • Strong understanding of application, cloud, and infrastructure security principles.
  • Ability to translate security risks into clear technical recommendations for engineering teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

(Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)

  • Experience partnering with software engineering teams in fast-paced development environments.
  • Familiarity with common security frameworks, design patterns, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience influencing technical direction without direct authority.

This is an exempt role. The expected annual salary range for this role is $164,594—$246,788 USD
