Lyra Technology Group is currently hiring for a Senior Accountant. This individual will collaborate across regions and operating companies. You will take a lead role in our financial reporting process and implement accounting best practices for our operating companies. You will build relationships with and help support finance leads across the portfolio, along with collaborating with the Regional Accounting teams and Regional CEOs.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and lead the monthly closing, reporting and consolidation process.
• Support Operating Companies with internal accounting and finance needs.
• Coordinate and assist with audit requests and internal control and GAAP compliance for US Audit
• Identify and address complex financial issues.
• Implement and maintain consistent accounting practices across portfolio companies.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end accounting closes for portfolio companies.
• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial reports for the holding company.
• Support the financial onboarding of newly acquired companies and their finance leaders.
• Manage audit work for the holding company and its portfolio companies.
• Assist organization-wide initiatives such as system migrations, improving processes & controls, compliance with accounting guidelines, metrics tracking, etc.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
• Public accounting or corporate accounting experience required
• Solid understanding of US GAAP compliance
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel
• Previous experience with QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Business Central preferred
• Experience working at an MSP, MSSP, SaaS, or IT Business preferred
• Ability to work with extreme autonomy and an ownership mindset

Base salary for this role is targeted at $90,000 - $100,000 with up to 15% annual bonus potential. It will operate out of our office in the West Loop on a hybrid basis (Tuesday/Thursday).
