Job description

Hi there!

We're Sweed sweedpos.com a product-driven startup building an all-in-one cannabis retail platform. We’re on the lookout for a Brand & Marketing Designer to join us remotely and help us scale our go-to-market and brand communication.

ABOUT US

At Sweed, we’re reimagining how cannabis retailers operate. Our enterprise-grade platform combines POS, eCommerce, Marketing, Analytics and Inventory Management into a single, seamless solution—eliminating the need for multiple third-party tools.

We believe in simplicity, efficiency, and innovation. That’s why we build for scalability and performance, making life easier for cannabis retailers while driving real business growth.

WHY WE’RE DOING THIS

At Sweed, we believe in the medicinal potential of cannabis. It has been shown to help with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and many other conditions. Despite the lingering stigma, we see cannabis as a powerful tool for improving lives.

The industry is evolving rapidly, and we’re here to drive that transformation—making cannabis retail more efficient, accessible, and customer-friendly.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

We’ve been on the market for 7 years, continuously growing and refining our product.

Our focus is on earning customer trust, which means constantly improving our delivery processes and rolling out new features. At the same time, we navigate the complex legal landscape of the cannabis industry, ensuring our platform remains compliant and future-proof.

TEAM STRUCTURE

Our total team size is over 200 people:

The development team is distributed globally and organized into cross-functional product teams. These teams typically consist of 8–12 members, including front-end and back-end developers, QA specialists, and analysts. Each team is led by a Team Lead and a Product Owner, ensuring effective collaboration and clear direction. Meanwhile, our CEO, account managers, and customer success team are based in the USA, working closely with us to align product development with business and user needs.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

You will fully own and drive the company’s visual communication. You will work closely with the Product Marketing and Marketing teams to translate Sweed's product capabilities and company value into clear, compelling visual stories. Your primary focus will be creating marketing assets that help customers understand what the platform does, why it matters, and how it drives business outcomes.

Your work will span product marketing materials, website and landing page design, campaign creative, presentations, social media assets, and other marketing collateral. We are looking for a designer with strong visual storytelling skills, excellent design judgment, and the ability to turn complex product concepts into engaging, enterprise-level visuals.

There is no art director in the team, so you will be in charge of developing creative and visual decisions.

  • Design printed materials for exhibitions and industry events
  • Use AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, content creation, and visual production

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality web, product marketing, and digital design work, especially for SaaS businesses
  • Proven ability to transform product features, platform workflows, and UI screenshots into compelling marketing visuals that communicate value clearly
  • Strong illustration, iconography, and visual storytelling skills
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
  • Experience designing across multiple formats, including websites, landing pages, banners, infographics, presentations, email assets, and internal communications
  • Ability to adapt and scale design systems across web, social media, video, email, and print channels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Strong curiosity about new design technologies and an AI-first mindset: you actively explore tools that can make your work faster, more creative, and more scalable.
  • Professional working proficiency in English, including written communication and content preparation
