ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new methodologies for biologically characterizing electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS) products
  • Perform routine biological characterization of liquids and aerosols for potential cytotoxicity to support product development
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration activities
  • Adherence to GLP.
  • Write, execute, and update SOPs
  • Maintain a record of results
  • Present reports on experimental results

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. with 6 years of hands-on lab experience
  • Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting to include basic laboratory procedures such as weighing, quantitative transfer, and volumetric dilutions required.
  • Hands-on experience in aseptic mammalian cell-culture techniques required.
  • Expertise with utilizing flow cytometry to analyze biological samples
  • Experience with plate-based assays (fluorescence, luminescence, and/or absorbance) a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office & statistical software (e.g., Graphpad Prism) and plus
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent data management.

EDUCATION

  • BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, or related field
