Job description

The Digital Delivery team builds applications to support government officials in their decision-making and operations. We build both web and mobile applications, and our systems are used by officials across a range of agencies. In a more turbulent world, we believe that it is critical for government to be better informed, and better connected.

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer within the team, you will be co-leading and mentoring the team of engineers working on an application that delivers vital reports to key decision-makers in Singapore. You will work closely with the product manager, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to build the next bound of this application, which includes incorporating AI-powered features to deliver greater value to our users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of applications to deliver vital reports to government officials
  • Collaborate with the product manager to determine the technical needs and direction for the products
  • Uphold high engineering standards – functional and maintainable code is of utmost importance to our team of engineers
  • Mentor junior engineers on the team
  • Build strong partnerships with infrastructure stakeholders to facilitate technical execution

Requirements

  • Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering for Senior Engineer
  • Applicants who additionally have at least 1 year of demonstrated technical leadership experience will be considered for Staff Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of architecture and design patterns
  • Familiar with full stack web technologies such as ReactJS and Spring Boot
  • Strong communication skills – must be able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Passionate and self-driven
