We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex software systems supporting data-intensive and mission-critical applications. This role involves working on analytics, large-scale data processing, real-time systems, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Python, and SQL, and be comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, upgrade, integrate, and troubleshoot mission-critical systems across development, test, lab, and operational environments
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/CAN/WAN infrastructure using Cisco and Arista network devices
  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux environments, including RHEL and CentOS
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools
  • Develop automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform
  • Support hybrid cloud and virtualized environments
  • Travel as needed for system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Provide 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system discrepancies

Required Qualifications

  • Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph
  • Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
  • Twelve (12) years of experience with software/system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, and DevSecOps
  • Recent experience within the last three (3) years with Kubernetes, cluster orchestration, and containerization
  • Strong Linux administration experience with RHEL/CentOS
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Cisco, and Arista networking
  • Experience with Python/Bash scripting, CI/CD, and Ansible or Terraform
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud or virtualized environments
  • Willingness to travel and provide 24/7 call-in support as required
  • Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as Security+
  • Active CCNA certification
  • Polygraph date within the last seven (7) years

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Four (4) years of additional experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science may substitute for two (2) years of experience
