About Within

Tldr on us: Series B, $91M raised, 7x growth last year. Digital Transformation gave rise to a $600B consulting Industry. AI Transformation will be 10x bigger and will be delivered through agents. We built that. Our AI discovers how work actually happens across every team and application, Structures it into a living Context Graph, and Improves it continuously. ServiceNow mapped 900+ processes in 9 days. DoorDash captured 3,800+ finance operations in 14 weeks. That's not a project. That's compounding intelligence. OpenAI, Google, DoorDash, and Stripe use Klarity to transform how they transform. We shipped GPT-4 document chat within 12 hours of OpenAI's API launch. We move fast, reward agency, and care deeply about our customers, our team, and our mission.

About the Role

Within is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to own and close high-value deals within primarily the Financial Services and Private Equity verticals. You’ll be the tip of the spear - building a pipeline from scratch, running executive-level sales cycles, and converting Fortune-2000 financial institutions and leading PE firms into WithIn customers. This is a full-cycle closing role: you win when deals close and customers realize value. You’ll own the entire sales motion from first outreach through signed contract, partnering with Solutions Consultants, Marketing, and Customer Success to qualify opportunities, navigate complex buying committees, and build business cases that resonate with VP, SVP, EVP, and C-Suite buyers. You understand the language of finance - IRR, portfolio operations, fund administration, regulatory compliance - and you use that fluency to position Within as a strategic investment, not just another software purchase. This role requires someone who can walk into a boardroom of senior financial executives and command credibility from the first handshake. You’re as comfortable building a territory plan from a blank sheet of paper as you are negotiating a six-figure enterprise contract with a CFO. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and treat every deal like your own business.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and own a territory of Financial Services and Private Equity accounts from the ground up - sourcing pipeline through outbound prospecting, executive networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships
  • Run full-cycle enterprise sales processes targeting VP, SVP, EVP, and C-Suite decision-makers, from initial discovery and qualification through negotiation and close
  • Develop deep domain expertise in Financial Services and Private Equity workflows to position Within’s AI platform as a transformative solution for portfolio operations, fund administration, compliance, and operational due diligence
  • Craft and deliver compelling executive-level business cases, ROI analyses, and proposals tailored to the specific pain points and strategic priorities of each account
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying cycles across business leadership, IT, procurement, legal, and compliance - building consensus and urgency at every stage
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants to orchestrate proof-of-value engagements that demonstrate Within’s impact using the prospect’s own data and processes
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate forecasting, leveraging MEDDPICC or equivalent qualification frameworks to drive deal rigor
  • Serve as the voice of the Financial Services vertical internally, feeding market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback back to Product, Marketing, and Leadership
  • Travel to meet customers and prospects in person - face time matters, and presence at critical deal moments is essential to success

You May Be a Good Fit If You…

  • Have 7+ years of enterprise SaaS sales experience with a consistent track record of exceeding quota, including at least 3 years selling into Financial Services, banking, insurance, asset management, or Private Equity firms
  • Have a proven history of building territory from scratch - you’ve done the zero-to-one work, not just inherited a book of business or rode a wave of inbound leads
  • Are skilled at selling to senior executives (VP, SVP, EVP, C-Suite) and can articulate business value in the language of financial outcomes, not just product features
  • Possess strong financial acumen - you understand how financial institutions and PE firms operate, how they evaluate technology investments, and what drives their decision-making
  • Have experience managing complex, six- and seven-figure enterprise deal cycles with multiple stakeholders, long timelines, and rigorous procurement processes
  • Display commitment and resilience with prior employers — we value loyalty and grit, and we’re not looking for candidates who jump every 18–24 months
  • Are AI-native, not AI-adjacent - you intuitively understand and use AI in your own daily work to sharpen your craft, not just talk about it in meetings
  • Have high coachability with no ego - this world is changing fast, and we need growth-mindset people willing to adapt with it
  • Are customer-obsessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong opinions, and a bias for action

Strong Candidates May Also…

  • Have direct experience selling AI or digital transformation technology into Financial Services or PE accounts and can articulate technical differentiation against both technology competitors and consulting-led alternatives
  • Bring a rolodex of executive-level relationships across major financial institutions, PE firms, or portfolio companies that can be activated from day one
  • Have experience partnering with or selling alongside Big-4 and management consulting firms - you understand how technology vendors co-sell with professional services organizations in financial services
  • Have sold into complex regulatory environments and understand the compliance, security, and data governance requirements that Financial Services buyers demand
  • Bring a track record of building sales playbooks, account plans, and go-to-market strategies for new verticals from scratch - you’ve done the zero-to-one work, not just executed an existing motion
  • Can balance strategic, long-cycle deal management with the hustle and urgency of an early-stage sales organization - and actually enjoy both

What Within Values in This Hire We’re not just hiring a title. We’re hiring a builder. Here’s what matters to us:

  • History of Achievement
  • You have a track record of setting ambitious goals and hitting them. Quota attainment isn’t a hope - it’s a habit.
  • Intellectually Curious
  • You learn everything about your customers, their industry, and the product - then use that knowledge to delight prospects and win trust.
  • Appetite for Closing
  • Passionate about winning. Comfortable asking people to make decisions right now. You drive urgency without creating pressure.
  • Coachable
  • You have the desire and ability to take feedback, internalize it, and get measurably better - fast.
  • Scrappy Builder
  • Proven track record of building, not just managing. Hungry for the next level and willing to do the unglamorous work to get there.
  • AI Fluent
  • You possess a deep understanding and proven track record of using a variety of AI tools across all aspects of the sales process - from discovery to ROI to close. You use AI to sharpen prospecting, manage your time, stay organized, and prioritize your day to maximize results. Building your own Agents and Skills is a plus.
  • Loyalty & Resilience
  • Commitment to prior employers. We want people who dig in when things get hard, not people who optimize for optionality.
  • Customer Obsessed
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong opinions, bias for action. Cares deeply about customer outcomes.
  • Technical Translator
  • Can make the complex feel simple. Moves fluidly between deep technical conversations and business-value story telling

Location & Travel This role is based in New York City with a heavy focus on prospect and customer meetings across the Financial Services and Private Equity landscape. Travel is expected to engage with enterprise customers, attend industry events, support critical deal moments, and build executive relationships. Face time with customers matters - presence at key moments is essential to success.
