Job description

Strategy & Operations Intern

About Sarvam

Sarvam is building the bedrock of Sovereign AI for India. The company is developing India's full-stack sovereign AI platform, building across research, models, infrastructure and applications with a singular focus on making AI genuinely work for India. Sarvam works with leading enterprises and public institutions and is backed by Lightspeed, Peak XV, and Khosla Ventures. Sarvam partners with India's leading brands, including Tata Capital, SBI Life, CRED, IDFC, and LIC.

About the Role

Sarvam's Strategy and Operations team sits at the centre of how the revenue function runs: the systems, the data, and the analysis behind who we sell to and where the team focuses its effort. The company is growing quickly, and this function scales with it. This role works on making that engine sharper. You will take a part of it, study how it performs today, form a view on what would make it better, and then build that. The work is analytical first and hands-on second. We are AI-first in how we work, so what you can ship is set by your judgment. You will work directly with sales, marketing, and leadership, and your output goes into decisions.

What You'll Do

Market and opportunity sizing. Build bottom-up models for segments we are entering, and quantify where the next set of revenue comes from. Funnel and conversion analysis. Follow the path from signup to revenue, find where it can improve, and build the instrumentation and reporting that makes it visible. Account and competitive research. Sharpen where the team spends its time with research on target accounts, segments, and competitors. Revenue systems. Strengthen the systems the team runs on, including how our CRM represents accounts, deals, and product usage. Reporting the team relies on. Build and maintain the recurring reporting that sales, marketing, and leadership use to run the business. Programs and execution. Take the initiatives that come out of the above and land them, along with the documentation and walkthroughs that make them stick.

What We're Looking For

Final-year student or recent graduate, any discipline Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with structured data; SQL is a plus Precision as a default, with the patience to trace a number back to its source Research discipline, with sources cited and measured facts kept separate from assumptions The ability to reduce a large, messy dataset to the two or three findings that matter Comfort picking up an unfamiliar problem and a new tool at the same time Clear, concise writing, for readers who were not in the room

Bonus Points Exposure to a CRM, BI, or marketing automation platform in any capacity Python or basic scripting for data work A prior internship involving data analysis, market research, or sales and marketing operations Genuine interest in AI and the enterprise technology market
