The Lead Venue Tech (“Lead Tech”) leads the effort to ensure a best-in-class gameplay experience for Level99 guests.  A Lead Tech is responsible for maintenance, repair, improvement, and replacement of the Level99 attractions and facilities, using internal and external resources.  A Lead Tech works in the trenches, hands-on, to troubleshoot, repair, and update guest experiences.  This is a “working” managerial role, with the Lead Tech responsible for managing and organizing the work, as well as delegating and implementing solutions.  A Lead Tech is passionate about getting the details right, meeting guest needs before being asked, and advancing the Level99 brand.  A Level99 Lead Tech has honesty and personal integrity that is above reproach, prefers a joyful and positive approach to challenging situations, chooses humility over the need to “be right,” and in all things acts as though s/he is the Owner and Operator of their venue.

• Work in the Challenges daily, performing inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs and live troubleshooting alongside the Team
• Own inspection compliance across every Challenge, including documentation, corrective action and audit readiness
• Own overall Venue maintenance and repair, including building systems and compliance inspections for fire, life safety, electrical and mechanical
• Coach, train and develop the Venue Tech Team on technical growth and day-to-day execution standards, and manage performance through evaluations, feedback and accountability
• Own Venue Tech hiring and scheduling to support business demand, inspection completion, preventative maintenance and repair priorities
• Own work order management, escalation and resolution follow-through across the Venue

• Minimum 3 year leading a technical, maintenance or facilities Team
• Proven ability to lead, coach and hold a technical Team accountable to standards
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and safe, competent use of common hand and power tools
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which will include days, nights, weekends and holidays as well as emergency responsiveness as required
• Ability to work ten hour-plus shifts, stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to triage and prioritize competing issues based on safety, Player impact and urgency
• A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude

• Low-voltage wiring, electro-mechanical repair, or electrical troubleshooting
• PLCs, microcontrollers, sensors, or other controls and automation systems
• PC, network, or AV systems troubleshooting
• Carpentry, fabrication, or work with wood, metal, and plastics
• Scenic painting, surfacing, or refinishing
• Theatrical lighting, DMX, sound, or show control systems
• Rigging inspection and maintenance
• General facility maintenance including plumbing and HVAC
• Experience in entertainment, attractions, theme parks, escape rooms, theatre, or live events
• Relevant Education: B.S. in Production, Design, Theatre Tech, Engineering, or other related degree
• OSHA/CPR/AED/First Aid Certified

While we don’t expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we’re looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new!
