Responsibilities

  • Safely drive the mobile veterinary vehicle to and from client homes.
  • Assist the veterinarian with patient handling, restraint, diagnostics, and treatment following Fear Free® handling principles.
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with clients before, during, and after visits.
  • Perform technical duties: collect samples, administer medications, prepare and submit lab work, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Support compassionate, individualized care for every patient.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT) or experienced Veterinary Assistant with strong clinical skills.
  • 5+ years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
  • Commitment to Fear Free® techniques and patient-focused care.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.

What We Offer

  • Up to $30/hr.
  • Flexible scheduling — this would be relief work on an as needed basis, filling in for fulltime team member absences.
  • A supportive operations team that handles scheduling and logistics so you can focus on patients.
  • A team built on respect, autonomy, and collaboration.

Why work at BlueSky

  • Work model: Fully mobile — no brick-and-mortar clinic, no commutes. Veterinarians practice in clients' homes.
  • Culture: Described as "compassionate, growth-minded" with a focus on listening to team input, respecting boundaries, and caring about well-being as much as caseload.
  • Clinical autonomy: Time and space to think clinically, explain recommendations, and build trust with clients without the pressure of a high-volume clinic.
  • Leadership: Led by experienced animal health entrepreneurs and practicing veterinarians who understand the realities of the profession.
  • Perks: Transparent pricing for clients; strong support systems for clinicians; focus on reducing daily friction.
  • Remote/hybrid policy: Role is field-based (mobile visits), not remote office work.
  • Company size: Small team (10–50 employees) offering significant impact and visibility for early hires.
