Job description

About Cantina: Cantina is a new social platform founded by Sean Parker with the most advanced AI character creator. Our bots are lifelike, social creatures that can interact wherever people are online—across voice, video, and text. Create yourself, imagine someone new, or choose from thousands of characters to share infinitely scalable, personalized content and seamless group chat. If you’re excited about how AI can shape creativity and social interaction, come help us build what’s next.

About the Role: Cantina is looking for a Video Content Strategist and Editor to lead our outbound video marketing, driving consumer growth and retention, creator adoption, and brand awareness. You’ll turn Cantina’s vast video output from creators, product and engineering announcements, and thought leadership into scroll-stopping video that shows why the best content and creators are on Cantina.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review Cantina’s most successful and high profile content to find videos to amplify or excerpt from for supercuts and promotional videos
  • Piece together clips to create a consistent stream of supercuts showing off Cantina’s best content, biggest creators, most powerful capabilities, and latest features
  • Review new feature releases, conceptualize explainer and example videos, shoot, and publish
  • Lead conceptualization, scripting, shooting, and editing for executive talking head content

What You’ll Bring:

  • High taste and ruthless standards for quality, with the ability to rapidly scan huge volumes of video and pull out the best clips.
  • Absurdly fast editing skills, using the latest tools to produce high-quality video daily.
  • Virality instincts: you’re up on the latest formats and tactics and can predict and produce highly performant content.
  • Creative strategy skills to translate high-level concepts and instruction into brilliant content ideas.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience developing, producing, and publishing a viral video media property or a daily/weekly recurring format.
  • Time as lead short-form video strategist for a top 20 global creator.
  • Former successful off-screen solo video creator/curator.
  • Scrappy lead video producer stints at a forward-thinking consumer tech brand.

Compensation: The anticipated annual base salary range for this role is between $155,000-$175,000. When determining compensation, a number of factors will be considered, including skills, experience, job scope, location, and competitive compensation market data.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and generous company equity
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance – 99.99% of premiums covered by Cantina
  • 42 days of paid time off, including:
  • 15 PTO days
  • 10 sick days
  • 15 company holidays
  • 2 floating holidays
  • Generous parental leave & fertility support
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan
  • Lifestyle spending account – $500/month to use however you’d like
  • Complimentary lunch and snacks for in-office employees
  • One Medical membership, and more!
