Account Director at InsightRX (San Francisco, CA)

InsightRX· San Francisco, CA·

Job description

Title: Account Director – Strategic Expansion (Health Systems)

About the Role:

We are seeking a results-driven Account Director to lead expansion efforts within a defined portfolio of health system customers. This role will focus exclusively on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities to grow adoption of InsightRx solutions across new clinical areas, departments, and workflows. This is a remote position, open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. who are comfortable collaborating virtually and occasionally traveling for customer or team meetings.

This is a pure expansion role—not responsible for renewals—with a strong emphasis on executive engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic account planning to unlock long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Strategic Expansion: Lead efforts to expand InsightRx footprint within existing accounts by surfacing unmet needs, introducing new solution areas, and securing buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Build Executive & Clinical Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clinical, operational, and executive decision-makers to understand their strategic priorities and align InsightRx offerings accordingly.
  • Opportunity Development: Identify and qualify new commercial opportunities within current customers. Work cross-functionally to shape proposals and close expansion deals.
  • Customer Value Storytelling: Clearly articulate the clinical and operational value of InsightRx solutions in a way that resonates with target stakeholders and supports enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Product, Clinical Strategy, Marketing, and Customer Success to coordinate outreach strategies, tailor value messaging, and support expansion execution.
  • Account Strategy & Planning: Create and maintain strategic account plans that prioritize high-impact expansion opportunities and lay the groundwork for future growth.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain a clear view of expansion pipeline health and progress. Provide timely updates and insights to leadership on deal status, risks, and upside.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise account management, strategic sales, or customer success, preferably within healthcare technology or life sciences
  • Proven track record of driving growth through expansion within complex health systems or IDNs
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to lead strategic conversations with clinical and operational stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and planning skills
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort presenting clinical and business outcomes
  • Experience with clinical decision support or precision medicine is a plus
