Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
Position Summary GHJ Search & Staffing has partnered with a nationally recognized nonprofit organization seeking an Accountant to join their team. The role is responsible for day-to-day accounting duties including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, assisting with the audit and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily financial operations, accounting activities, and monthly close processes.
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and budget-to-actual reporting.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements and operational reports to leadership.
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and finance staff.
- Ensure monthly bank reconciliations and accounting entries are completed accurately and on time.
- Partner with leadership on grant management, reporting, compliance, and fund accounting activities.
- Lead annual audits, compliance reporting, and IRS Form 990 preparation processes.
- Recommend and implement financial system improvements, internal controls, and staff training initiatives.
