Job description

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting
  • Oversee AP, AR, and other day-to-day accounting functions
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Coordinate audit requests and ensure accurate supporting documentation
  • Maintain and strengthen accounting policies and internal controls
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting/ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
