About the Role – Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting. Your role will involve booking of accounting entries, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and collaborating with various departments to maintain financial integrity.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Prepare general accounting related deliverables.
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, reconciliation and accounting of Fixed asset accounts.
  • Responsible for regular monthly closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers and schedules against the financial reports and propose adjustments as applicable.
  • Participate in on-going system implementations and ensures financial data are captured accurately. May perform user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed.
  • Support external audit processes at the group and subsidiary level by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting procedures.
  • Provide support on financial operations such as managing cash flow and treasury operations

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience with accounting and/or audit
  • Team player and excited to learn new things
  • Good attention to details and able to perform self-checks.
  • Highly skilled in using MS Excel and accounting system
  • Willing to embrace and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
