Silver.dev· Brazil· $60k–$96k·
Role details
Job description
Arrouya builds reservation and operations software for local governments. Our platform powers facility and park reservations, programs, permits, payments, and accounting.
We're currently a two-person engineering team and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us. We're tackling two major projects in parallel: refactoring and modernizing our existing platform while building a new platform from 0 → 1.
What You'll Work On
- Design and build systems for reservations, availability, scheduling, and resource management.
- Refactor and modernize a large production codebase.
- Build new products and features from 0 → 1.
- Work across our TypeScript, Express, and Next.js stack.
- Design workflows spanning reservations, payments, refunds, and accounting.
- Make architectural decisions that will shape the platform as we grow.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong TypeScript/JavaScript experience.
- Production experience with Node.js/Express and React/Next.js.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, APIs, and data modeling.
- Experience working on both established codebases and greenfield projects.
- Strong engineering judgment and comfort working with a high degree of ownership.
Nice to Have
Experience with reservation, scheduling, payments, or financial systems is a big plus.
Reservations are at the core of our product and involve complex availability, pricing, conflicts, cancellations, and business rules. They also connect directly to payments and accounting, where our government customers have strict requirements around financial correctness.
We're looking for someone who enjoys untangling complex systems just as much as building new ones.
