Roboyo

Automation Engineering Manager - UiPath at Roboyo (Hyderabad, India)

Roboyo· Hyderabad, India·

Job description

Roboyo AI is a category shaper in Applied AI and Agentic Automation. We help leading enterprises move from automation projects and AI experiments into governed, production-grade systems that execute real work across workflows, processes, products and services.

Our heritage is in scaled enterprise automation; our future is Applied AI and Agentic Automation: autonomous agents, AI engineering squads, process orchestration, data and knowledge foundations, and human-in-the-loop governance embedded deeply into how our clients operate.

We are not here to sell AI theatre. We are here to turn AI into working systems, measurable outcomes and repeatable transformation programs.

About the role

We're looking for a Lead Automation Engineer to own the technical delivery of UiPath automation workstreams end-to-end — from design and development through testing and deployment — working with international clients across a distributed, global delivery environment. You will own the technical execution of our broader automation strategy and lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and enforce UiPath development standards, architectural patterns, and delivery frameworks across your team's projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a cross-functional pod of automation engineers and business analysts, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Review and validate solution designs, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Discover, estimate and deliver Agentic AI solutions implementing the UiPath suite (Studio, IXP, Agent building and Coded agents) effectively
  • Collaborate with other members of the automation team to deliver solutions that address client needs, including intelligent data extraction use cases leveraging UiPath IXP and custom models
  • Oversee the quality of UiPath deliverables across all project stages — design, build, test, and deployment.
  • Conduct rigorous code reviews and enforce robust CI/CD pipelines, establishing coding standards and automated testing frameworks (Unit, Integrated, UAT) that guarantee delivery excellence and mitigate deployment risks.
  • Act as the primary technical authority and trusted advisor, aligning business stakeholders, project managers, and development teams on migration milestones and technical risks.
  • Take the lead on diagnosing and resolving complex technical defects, optimising performance bottlenecks, and stabilizing processes before handoff to support teams.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, and continuously improve consulting service offerings

Must Have Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Intelligent Automation software engineering, including practical experience with UiPath IXP (Intelligent Xtraction and Processing) — converting unstructured and semi-structured data such as emails, contracts, and invoices into structured data for automation
  • Proven track record operating as a Technical Lead, successfully managing, staffing, and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Solid experience with AI Center, Action Center and proven expertise in building Agentic AI solutions
  • UiPath Advanced RPA Developer certification
  • Exposure to coded agents and agent builder of UiPath
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to reverse-engineer legacy processes and design elegant, efficient modern architectures
  • Solid command of software engineering principles, including SQL databases, API integrations, and version control (Git).
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the proven ability to conduct technical workshops, elicit granular business requirements, and negotiate complex architectural decisions with non-technical executives

Nice to have qualifications

  • Python coding skills or willingness to grow technical capabilities
  • Interest in upskilling in related technologies such as process mining (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining), low-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps), conversational AI (e.g., Cognigy, Druid), or test automation (UiPath Test Suite)
  • Experience in Automation Anywhere, Power Automate

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
