Overview

AvePoint is seeking a Business Analyst with experience in SharePoint implementation projects to join our Client Services division.

In this role, you will work closely with business users, technical consultants, and project teams to analyze collaboration and document management needs, gather requirements, and support the successful delivery of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 solutions. You will play a key role in translating business processes into scalable digital workplace solutions.

What will you be doing?

The Business Analyst analyzes business processes and supporting collaboration platforms, develops As-Is and To-Be workflows, and ensures requirements are clearly defined throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

- Lead requirements gathering and analysis for SharePoint and Microsoft 365 implementation projects.

- Analyze business processes related to document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.

- Produce deliverables including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), functional specifications, process flows, information architecture, and site structure designs.

- Work with stakeholders to define governance, permissions models, and content organization strategies.

- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical consultants and developers.

- Support SharePoint site design, migration, and implementation activities.

- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with business users to understand collaboration needs.

- Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment support.

- Collaborate with project managers to support planning, scope definition, and delivery timelines.

- Drive user adoption by supporting change management and training initiatives where required.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting SharePoint or Microsoft 365 implementation projects.

- Strong understanding of SharePoint Online capabilities, including document libraries, lists, permissions, and collaboration features.

- Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and As-Is / To-Be documentation.

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform) is preferred.

- Understanding of information architecture, document lifecycle management, and governance concepts.

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments is an advantage.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
