About Nearby.ai
Nearby.ai is a home services platform that connects homeowners with trusted local service providers. We're looking for a motivated intern to help expand our merchant network through local business outreach and partnership development.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify local home service businesses (plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, HVAC, etc.) as potential partners
- Reach out to local merchants via phone, email, in-person visits, and social media to introduce Nearby.ai and onboard them onto our platform
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners using CRM tools or spreadsheets
- Assist in crafting outreach scripts, pitch decks, and partnership proposals
- Collect merchant feedback to help the team improve our value proposition and onboarding process
- Track outreach metrics (contacts made, response rates, conversion rates) and report weekly progress
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable with cold outreach
- Self-starter who can work independently and manage their own schedule
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple conversations at once
- Interest in startups, local commerce, or the home services industry
Details
- Type: Part-time internship (10–20 hrs/week), flexible schedule
- Duration: 3–6 months
- Location: Remote with occasional local fieldwork
- Compensation: Paid ($18-22 hourly)
