Role details
Job description
We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners
We help everyday runners become outstanding by building an incredible app providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon.
We’re growing extremely fast! In November 2023 we closed a $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the iPhone app of the year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built & in 2025 we were acquired by Strava strava.com/about
Our ambition is huge: to become the go-to global leading training platform for millions of runners everywhere. We’re growing with purpose and looking for people who want to build something meaningful with lasting impact. With the recent acquisition by Strava accelerating our journey, now is a really magical time to join. 🚀
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We're looking for a Business Strategy Manager to help shape how Runna makes its biggest calls. You'll work directly with Runna's Chief of Staff on the strategic questions that matter most: where we invest for growth, how we position against competitors, and how we turn Runna's 2026 priorities into plans that actually get executed. You'll also play a leading part in our quarterly OKR process and annual strategy planning, with real ownership over your work from day one.
This role is based in our London office, working 3 days per week on-site.
THE TEAM YOU'LL JOIN
You'll sit within Runna, reporting to the Chief of Staff, and you'll also work closely with Strava Group's broader Strategy team. That gives you a rare mix: the pace and scope of a small, fast-growing team, plus regular exposure to a wider strategy bench for methodology, feedback, and pattern-matching across the group. It's a great seat for someone who wants both autonomy and a strong support network around them.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead multi-week strategic projects, such as market sizing, competitive positioning, and growth investment cases, that directly inform decisions made by Runna leadership
- Play a leading part in Runna's quarterly OKR process and annual strategy planning cycle
- Partner with functional leads across Product, Marketing, and Finance to support and push the thinking across initiatives
- Turn Runna's strategic priorities into concrete plans with clear tracking and accountability - Respond to fast-turnaround requests when leadership needs data or analysis quickly to support a decision
- Build reusable analytical frameworks and dashboards so recurring business-performance questions get faster to answer over time
- Stay connected with Strava Group's Strategy team to keep methodology and frameworks aligned across the business
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Strong analytical expertise, with a track record of structuring and solving problems from first principles
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, where the problem isn't handed to you fully formed - The ability to move quickly without losing rigor, and to hold several priorities at once as they shift
- A high level of ownership: you follow through on your work rather than handing it off - Three to five years in management consulting (MBB) is a plus
- Familiarity with fitness, wellness, or subscription/D2C business models is a plus
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
We're offering a salary of £80,750 – £105,000 plus participation in Strava's long-term incentive (stock) programs.
We're also committed to continually evolving our benefits to support you as we grow. Here is a brief overview of what we currently offer in the UK
- 🏢 Flexible working – we typically spend 3 days a week together in our Vauxhall office
- 🏝️ 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays (which you can take whenever suits you)
- 📱Free Runna & Strava subscriptions for you and 3 of your friends (get ready to be your friends fave person or save them for holiday presents!)

OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible. We'll share the specific stages with you at the start of the process, but you can expect a mix of introductory conversations, role-specific discussions, and the opportunity to meet the team.
Please let us know if there's anything we can do to better accommodate you throughout the interview process. This can range from scheduling interviews around childcare commitments to accessibility requirements. We want you to show your best self in the process, so please speak to your Talent Partner!
