Job description

We are looking for a professional Chef de Partie

This position will be responsible in the preparation of all foods as indicated in the menu plan, recipes, and methods for his/her areas. He is responsible to take care of all orders from his/her immediate supervisor on duty, pertaining to specific assignments that may arise without notice, due to special functions, itinerary or other unforeseen changes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all foods are prepared fresh and is of the highest standard for taste and food safety
  • Strictly follows all recipes, methods, and instructions from his supervisor
  • Maintain menus and food quality to standards
  • Be responsible to control food cost in the restaurant.
  • Control food waste
  • Check on all equipment in your areas that must be fixed and report to the Chef
  • Prepare food for service (shopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report, and follow chef’s instructions
  • Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Ability to work morning and evening shifts
  • Years of experience

  • Teamwork mentality.
