Job Summary
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Chief Technology Officer / Head of Engineering to lead our end-to-end technology strategy, architecture, and engineering organization. This role is responsible for driving digital innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening cybersecurity posture, and building a resilient, scalable, and data-driven insurance platform. The CTO will partner closely with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business growth and customer experience goals.
Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute technology vision to transform insurance experience for B2C customers aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead digital platforms evolution across web and mobile applications.
- Drive cloud-native architecture strategy and platform scalability.
- Envision in AI adoption from development to user experience
- Build and foster a high-performance engineering culture emphasizing innovation, accountability and continuous improvement.
Platform & Engineering Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability across customer-facing and internal platforms.
- Optimize data architecture and warehouse strategy to enable trusted reporting and analytics.
- Lead modernization initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and integration layers.
Data & Analytics Governance
- Establish a unified and trusted data foundation to support reporting, regulatory submissions, and decision-making.
- Drive improvements in ETL orchestration, data freshness, and reporting SLA performance.
- Promote data governance, lineage, reconciliation accuracy, and audit readiness.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Own company cybersecurity strategy and technology governance.
- Ensure IT governance frameworks, incident and change management controls, and audit processes are embedded in engineering practices.
- Strengthen identity management, infrastructure and data security, and threat monitoring.
Team and Culture
- Oversee engineering operations, FE, BE, QA, SRE, IS and Data teams to ensure high availability and business continuity.
- Establish engineering best practices, scalable architecture standards, and digital products development discipline.
- Foster a culture of experimentation, accountability, and measurable impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Product, Operations, Finance, Risk and Compliance teams.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership on technology risk and innovation.
- Mentor and develop technical leaders within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology, preferably within insurance, fintech, or financial services.
- Proven experience leading digital transformation and AI adoption is prefered
- Experience in leading techonology team in regulated environment is a plus
- Deep understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.
- Passionate for innovation and building technology that meaningfully transforms customer experience and insurance operations.
- Excellent communication skill with capabilities and patience to understand and balance interests of different stakeholders and at the same time a people manager who is willing to spend time to hold heart-to-heart conversation to coach and grow the team
