Seeking Senior/Staff Compute Platform Engineer with experience managing container orchestration (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc). Ideal candidates have 10+ years of software experience with significant experience managing container clusters.
About the Role
Codegen is hiring a full-time Senior/Staff Compute Platform Engineer to build our next generation compute infra. The role involves iterating on features, prototyping solutions, and refining them to enterprise standards.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, high-agency individual capable of working independently and collaboratively to drive initiatives to completion. This is a senior-level position suited for professionals who have thrived in fast-growing companies and are excited to build an elite engineering culture.
Qualifications
- Significant experience managing Container Orchestration clusters.
- A minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated maturity in judgement and the capability to architect large systems independently.
- A strong background in backend development, particularly with complex, stateful systems, and profound Python and/or data processing experience.
- Proven track record as a prolific developer who collaborates effectively with teams and can assume the role of a tech lead on projects.
- Self-guided with a knack for identifying and solving problems without needing supervision.
- Previous AI experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

- Iterate quickly with the rest of the team, prioritizing customer outcomes over perfect implementations
- Prototyping new solutions, bringing them to a functional state, and then refining them to be robust and ready for enterprise deployment.
