Job description
ABOUT MISTRAL
Mistral provides full-stack AI solutions: from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute. We partner with enterprises tackling the hardest problems—across high-stakes industries like finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector—co-creating customized AI systems that they can run on their terms.
We are a dynamic, collaborative team passionate about AI and its potential to transform society. Our diverse workforce thrives in competitive environments and is committed to driving innovation. Our teams are distributed between Europe, North America, Asia and the Middle East. We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.
THE ROLE
As a Consolidation Manager on the Finance team, you will build and run Mistral's consolidation function from the ground up. The group is setting up a true, recurring IFRS consolidation, and this role owns the transition end-to-end. It is a rare opportunity to design a consolidation framework at a fast-scaling group.
You will consolidate a perimeter of around 30 entities across some 15 countries, in a multi-currency environment. The scope is evolving by nature: new entities, new revenue streams, acquisitions generating goodwill and business-combination accounting, and a complex group structure that will keep consolidation challenging over time.
You will report to the Group Accounting Director and work closely with the IFRS team, delivering reliable consolidated figures to leadership and shareholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Build and run a recurring monthly IFRS consolidation across ~30 entities in ~15 countries.
- Lead the selection, configuration, and rollout of the group's consolidation tool, benchmarking providers and making the method and design choices that will scale.
- Implement and maintain consolidation rules
- Handle multi-currency consolidation and FX differences across the entity perimeter.
- Evolve consolidation rules as the scope changes: new entities, new revenue streams, and new IFRS standards (i.e., IFRS 18).
- Navigate complex and evolving group structures across multiple countries and entities.
- Partner with the IFRS team and the broader Finance organization to deliver reliable consolidated figures each quarter.
- Document methods and choices so the consolidation framework stays auditable and transferable.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Solid IFRS consolidation experience, including business combinations, goodwill, intercompany eliminations and multi-currency translation.
- A background combining an audit firm and in-house consolidation, with the seniority to own the topic end-to-end.
- Comfortable building a consolidation function from scratch, with the appetite to set up rules, choose methods and pick tooling rather than inherit an existing setup.
- Strong enough technical grasp to evaluate and recommend consolidation methods and tools, with the trade-offs clearly in mind.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented, willing to dive into the figures and investigate reconciliation differences.
- Able to operate autonomously in an environment with an evolving scope (new entities, new revenue streams, changing standards).
- Fluent English; French is a plus.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Benefits vary by country and may include healthcare coverage, parental leave, retirement plans, relocation support, wellness programs, meal and transportation allowances, and other location-specific perks.
