Job description

Linq is building the messaging infrastructure layer for conversational agents — making it simple for developers to integrate iMessage, RCS, SMS, and conversational AI into their products.

The Role

You will own Developer Relations at Linq. This role is high-autonomy and incredibly impactful to our business. You will shape how developers discover, evaluate, and succeed with Linq.

What You'll Do

  • Build technical content: docs, tutorials, quickstart guides, sample apps, blog posts
  • Engage dev communities: GitHub, Stack Overflow, Discord, Reddit, X, HN
  • Engage dev communities and founders in San Francisco
  • Represent Linq at meetups, hackathons, and conferences
  • Develop code samples, integration guides, and improve docs
  • Translate developer feedback into product insights
  • Track: API usage, developer NPS, community engagement

Fit

  • 2–5 years DevRel, developer advocacy, or technical community-facing role
  • Can write clean code and clear prose
  • APIs, messaging/comms platforms, or infrastructure experience a plus
  • Scrappy, builds the playbook vs. follows one

Bonus

  • AI/LLM + messaging experience
  • Personal developer following or community contributions
  • AE/customer facing sales role selling to developers
  • Network of developers, founders, and tech community in San Francisco

Why Linq:

  • Health/Dental/Vision insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • 401(k)
  • Wellness stipend, book stipend, professional development opportunities
  • Direct access to leadership — we're a small team solving real problems with no layers of bureaucracy between you and the work

Why work at Linq

  • Culture: Described as a “band of misfit tinkerers” who value speed, quality, and clear communication. Emphasizes autonomy, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Remote/Hybrid Policy: Hiring primarily in Birmingham, AL; New York, NY; and San Francisco, CA. Likely hybrid or in-office based on location-specific roles.
  • Benefits: Competitive salaries + equity, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) plan, flexible vacation, parental leave, books and exercise stipend, free snacks/coffee in office, regular team outings.
  • Engineering Culture: Builds infrastructure that powers messaging at scale; focuses on API design, platform reliability, and developer experience. Open to applicants who don’t fit a specific title – “we index less on the title and more on the human.”
