Your Mission

As DevOps Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind Canopy’s infrastructure, reliability, and security posture, ensuring our systems are scalable, automated, compliant, and resilient. You’ll lead the evolution of our cloud environment and CI/CD pipelines, empowering the engineering organization to move fast while maintaining high standards for security, uptime, and SLA performance.

You’ll collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and data teams to design end-to-end deployment and monitoring strategies, manage CVE remediation SLAs, and ensure that Canopy’s platform operates with the reliability and trust our healthcare partners expect.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Infrastructure Strategy – Design and evolve Canopy’s cloud architecture for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Automate Everything – Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated deployment systems.
  • Security & Compliance – Enforce security best practices, maintain strong compliance posture (including CVE scanning, patching, and SLA enforcement).
  • Own Monitoring -  Drive Observability – Design, implement, and maintain Canopy’s monitoring infrastructure and alerting systems. Own the end-to-end monitoring solutions while enabling engineering teams with self-service observability tools, metrics, and insights for proactive issue detection.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work with product and engineering teams to align infrastructure priorities with business goals.  Collaboration and work with automation lead to drive automation for our product.
  • Mentor & Lead – Guide and promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Deep expertise with GCP (Advantage) or AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized microservices.
  • Proven track record managing security pipelines (vulnerability scanning,SAST, DAST,  dependency management).
  • Strong experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi).
  • Expertise in CI/CD automation (TeamCity, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Skilled in monitoring and observability stacks (Newrelic, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
  • A solid understanding of CVE tracking, remediation processes, and meeting defined security SLAs.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers and drive collaboration across teams

Bonus Points

  • Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, or enterprise SaaS).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, etc.
  • Passion for improving system resilience, performance, and incident response maturity.
