Job description

The Electrical Drafter/Designer (Entry Level) is responsible for design and drafting services that meet the client’s requirements and expectations while conforming to appropriate Codes and Standards for the associated project. Detailed designs and drawings include:

  • Power & Electrical Distribution
  • Electrical One-Line Diagrams
  • Schematics
  • Interconnection diagrams
  • Plans-Lighting, Grounding, Power, Heat Tracing, etc.
  • Conduit/Cable Schedules
  • Electrical Details

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
  • 1-2 years design/drafting experience & skilled in standard drafting techniques, preferred
  • Proficient in 2-D CAD; 3-D CAD, Plant Design, other Autodesk® products a plus
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical highly desired
  • Knowledge of or proficient in field investigations and measurements
  • Working knowledge of Codes and Standards
  • Working knowledge of or familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail and performing self-checking of work
