Job description

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving. We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome. The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same. If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp's first post-sales hire in Europe doesn't just activate customers, they set the standard for what post-sales excellence looks like in a brand new market. This is a role for people who have been inside organizations when change was hard, who speak the language of a CFO, and who can move a customer from onboarding to true business value without losing the commercial thread. You'll own a book of customers end-to-end: responsible for driving genuine activation and adoption, and for finding and closing the expansion opportunities that follow when customers are actually getting value. There is no handoff here. Onboarding and growth live in the same seat. As one of the first people on the ground in London, you'll have real accountability from day one, and the work you do will directly shape how Ramp builds its post-sales motion across Europe. If you're someone who uses AI the way high performers use any sharp tool (as a default, not an experiment), who is energized by building from scratch, and who wants to own outcomes rather than just execute a playbook, this is the role.

What You'll Do

  • Lead customers through the full transformation journey, from implementation through agentic workflow adoption.
  • Own the revenue target for your book of business.
  • Build and own the change management strategy for each account: map stakeholders, diagnose resistance, build internal coalitions, and drive adoption past the finish line.
  • Quantify and communicate Ramp's impact in the language CFOs and Controllers care about
  • Help customers understand and adopt Ramp's agentic finance capabilities, positioning new workflows not as features, but as fundamental changes to how their finance team operates.
  • Maintain tight feedback loops with Design & Engineering, ensuring market signals from customers land where they can drive product decisions.
  • Support the GM on the highest-priority strategic initiatives of the moment; competitive landscape, ICP refinement, new segment exploration, and more.

What You Need

  • Right to work in the UK is required. Willingness to travel frequently across the UK and Europe.
  • Founder-mode mentality with proof to back it up. You own outcomes, not deliverables and you have a track record of building, selling, or figuring something out on your own. You make fast decisions with incomplete data and don't wait for a playbook that doesn't exist yet.
  • AI fluency as a daily habit. Ramp is a builder culture: if you don't instinctively reach for AI before doing things manually, this role will be a hard adjustment.
  • Deep product expertise that translates into prescriptive recommendations. You know Ramp's full range of products, integrations, and configuration options inside out and you use that knowledge to anticipate customer needs and position solutions before they ask.
  • Technical acumen to hold your own with Product and Engineering on integrations, APIs, and workflow architecture.
  • Commercial instinct. You proactively identify expansion opportunities and know how to turn customer success into revenue growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • High frustration tolerance and resilience. Building from scratch means things will break constantly.

Nice to Haves

  • Fluency in additional European languages
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, consulting, VC, IB/PE, or other analytically intensive environments
  • Exposure to fintech, SaaS, or B2B sales cycles
  • Track record of entrepreneurial activity: founding a company, running a meaningful side project, or building something from zero
