Job description
With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games. As we move on to new projects, the team that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for an Engine Programmer to join the team and help us in maintaining the previous projects (Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity: Original Sin 2…) and keep them up to date.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining our PC/Mac/iOS/Console builds
- Write performant, robust and maintainable code
- Debug, profile and optimize code to hit quality and performance targets
- Contribute in code reviews, testing and documentation
- Show strong passion for making the highest quality state of the art games
Requirements
- 3+ years game development experience
- For Mac/iOS - experience in Metal, XCode, C++ and ObjectiveCd
- For PC - experience with DX11 and C++
- For Console - experience with DX12/AGC/NVN, console SDKs and C++
- Experience with a wide range of CPU and GPU profiling tools
- Strong knowledge of multithreading
- Open-minded, willing to collaborate, experiment and iterate over a specific feature
- Passion for making and playing great games
- Knowledge of modern hardware
Nice to haves
- Bachelor / Master degree in computer science or software engineering
- Experience with SIMD programing
- Experience with low-level x86/ARM/DXBC/Spir-V assembly
- Experience with networking / multiplayer
- Experience with CMake
- Experience with Vulkan
- Experience with CI & Devops
- Track record of major contributions to shipped games
