LifeSci Capital is a research-driven investment bank with a focus on emerging life sciences companies that discover, develop, and commercialize innovative products. Our broadly distributed equity research product, the LifeSci Capital Alpha Series, is composed of high conviction/impact ideas within the healthcare sector generated by our deep, fundamental research process supported by KOL/expert feedback. Our goal is to provide investors with a comprehensive understanding of our covered companies and the opportunities they are addressing, with the aim of helping investors generate long-term Alpha.
About the Role
An Associate position at LifeSci Capital is the perfect intersection between finance, business, and the life sciences. In this role you will:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the biotechnology sector.
- Work directly with analysts to evaluate drugs in various therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, neurology, or genetic medicine.
- Dissect scientific literature, perform market analyses, and participate in dialogue with the world’s top physician scientists as well as the C-suites of public companies.
- Master the process of performing fundamental due diligence on a company, modeling and valuation techniques, and communicating findings to top biotech investors.
- Produce high-quality, sector-wide, and company-specific equity research providing valuable analysis to the biotechnology industry and investment professionals.
- Have, or obtain, FINRA licenses SIE, Series 7, Series 86, and Series 87.

While we evaluate all candidates on a case-by-case basis, a science background is required for consideration. Prior Equity Research industry experience is preferred, but not required.
Qualified candidates should possess:
- An advanced degree in a medical, scientific or biotech/biomed related field (MD, PhD, MS)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate and disseminate complex scientific information to a variety of stakeholders
- An ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of experience in biotech equity research
