What you'll do
- Review existing Finance processes, particularly around revenue recognition, partner relationship management and reconciliations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Help the Finance team move away from manual Excel- and BigQuery-based processes towards more efficient and automated solutions.
- Support the implementation and adoption of new reconciliation tools, ERP systems and AI-assisted solutions.
- Analyse data received from partners and third parties and help identify discrepancies, gaps and opportunities for process improvement.
- Explore ways to automate recurring reports, templates and other manual Finance activities.
- Help design and improve processes so they can be replicated across other markets and regions.
- Work with Finance and other internal teams to understand existing workflows and translate them into practical system or automation improvements.
- Document processes and contribute to creating a roadmap for future process improvements and regional expansion.
- Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working where a more efficient approach may be possible.
- Support the team with day-to-day Finance activities where required, while maintaining a strong focus on process improvement and automation.
What you need for this role
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in your senior/final year.
- Studying IT, Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in technology, systems, automation, data and process improvement.
- Basic understanding of Finance or Accounting concepts. You do not need to be an Accounting major, but should understand fundamental concepts such as debits, credits and accruals.
- Comfortable working with data and systems, with good general system knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and challenge existing processes.
- A self-starter who can take a problem or situation and think through possible solutions independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English.
- Comfortable working in a flexible, hybrid environment.
