Founding SDR at Netic (San Francisco, CA)
Netic· San Francisco, CA·
Role details
Job description
Netic is the AI revenue engine for essential services who are the backbone of the American economy. With $43M in funding from Founders Fund, Greylock, Hanabi, and Dylan Field who led our Series B, we helped our customers book hundreds of thousands of jobs across services industries in North America. There are now companies operating entirely AI-first on Netic.
You’ll join our team with relentless builders from Scale, Databricks, HRT, Meta, MIT, Stanford, and Harvard in bringing frontier AI to the physical economy, where the problems are hard, the data is complex, and the impact is immediate and tangible.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring the founding Sales Development Representative class at Netic.
This is not a typical SDR role. We are not interested in spray-and-pray outreach, generic emails, or measuring success by whether you completed 200 activities in a day.
As a Founding SDR, you will be responsible for generating qualified pipeline with some of the largest essential and consumer service businesses in the country.
You will conduct deep account research, connect non-obvious dots, develop thoughtful points of view, and deliver value under pressure. You will be expected to research like an analyst, engage executives with confidence, and operate with founder-level urgency.
This is a highly compensated role for someone who wants more ownership, responsibility, and opportunity than the traditional SDR model provides.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Generate qualified pipeline. Create real enterprise opportunities with Netic’s target accounts.
Research deeply and communicate with precision. Understand an account’s ownership, brands, operations, leadership, technology, and strategic priorities before reaching out.
Develop thoughtful points of view. Connect relevant signals and explain clearly why Netic may matter to each specific business.
Become an expert. Build a deep understanding of Netic’s products, customers, target industries, competitive landscape, and the operational problems we solve.
Help build the outbound engine. Test new tools, campaigns, messaging, workflows, and creative approaches alongside Marketing, Account Executives, and GTM Engineering.
Represent Netic at a high level. We sell mission-critical technology to some of the largest and most sophisticated essential service businesses in the country. Every interaction must reflect a high standard of preparation, professionalism, and craftsmanship.
WHO YOU ARE
- A history of high performance in sales, athletics, academics, entrepreneurship, or another competitive environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Obsessive curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding how businesses operate
- The ability to learn quickly, receive direct feedback, and immediately apply it
- Strong judgment around where to spend time and how to create value
- The confidence and executive presence to communicate with senior leaders
- A willingness to make calls, try uncomfortable approaches, and do whatever is required to create pipeline
- A team-first mindset and a desire to help build the foundation for everyone who comes after you
- Complete ownership over your results
Experience as an SDR or BDR is helpful, but demonstrated excellence, learning agility, and raw ability matter more.
What brings us together is our commitment to:
- Live to build
- Run through walls and win
- Obsess over customers in each line of code
- Lose sleep over the "almost perfect"
- Show internal locus of control
- Prioritize finesse: refinement of first principles thinking, execution, and craftsmanship
We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
Why work at Netic
- Culture & philosophy: Netic describes itself as a team of “relentless builders, ex-founders, and immigrants from top CS schools and tech companies who thrive on solving hard problems.” Cultural values include “live to build,” “run through walls and win,” “obsess over customers in each line of code,” and “prioritize finesse.”
- Work location: HQ in San Francisco (3661 Buchanan St, Fl 4). Most roles appear to be on-site in SF; no explicit remote/hybrid policy stated in available data.
- Engineering culture: Strong bias toward building production-grade, end-to-end AI. Roles like Applied AI Research Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, and Forward Deployed Agent Engineer indicate a tight feedback loop between development and real-world deployment.
- Notable perks: Opportunity to work on frontier AI technologies (speech, text, multimodal) that directly impact the “backbone of the economy.” The company is at an early stage (32 employees) with significant recent funding, offering high autonomy and ownership.
