Job description
As Founding Software Engineer, you’ll build the systems that power AI-native websites, shaping the technical architecture and culture of a company defining the next era of the internet.
Role scope
- Build agentic systems that design and launch web experiences, leveraging cutting-edge AI techniques.
- Develop and maintain Flint’s core application across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Design systems with robust evals, observability, and testing to push the frontier of AI reliability.
- Prototype rapidly with users and translate learnings into durable features.
- Lead architectural decisions that set Flint’s technical direction for years to come.
- Own projects end-to-end: from prototypes that test new ideas with users to production systems that serve as the foundation for our platform.
We’ve already tackled problems such as:
- SOTA applied AI for frontend code generation and design systems
- Novel UX patterns for AI-first software
- Distributed multiplayer systems for collaborative editing
- AST parsing and manipulation for generative code
- …and there’s much more ahead.
Basic qualifications
- You are a product-first engineer who cares deeply about user experience.
- You have strong full-stack engineering experience and are excited to work across the stack.
- You regularly use the latest AI-forward developer tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc).
- You take ownership from problem to solution, learning whatever you need to succeed.
- You love building MVPs, testing them with users, and iterating quickly.
Preferred qualifications
- Have used website builders (e.g. Webflow or Framer) or CMS platforms (Sanity, Contentful, Strapi).
- You have built an AI product before
- Experience working in early-stage startups or small teams
